ID Verification for Larger Transfers

To keep SwiftTransfer secure and compliant with international regulations, we have simple ID checks in place for larger transactions.

You can send and receive money with ease for everyday amounts. But when you reach certain limits, we’ll ask you to verify your identity. This helps us prevent fraud, money laundering, and unauthorised use of the platform.

Here’s how it works:

- If you try to send £250 or more in a single transaction, we’ll ask you to upload a valid ID (such as a passport, national ID card, or driver’s licence).

- If you send over £750 in total within a 24-hour period, verification will also be triggered.

These checks are standard for financial services and help ensure that your money and identity are protected at all times.

We’ve made the process as smooth as possible. You’ll be guided step-by-step through the app, and once your ID is verified, you’ll be able to continue sending money without interruption.

It’s all about building a safer, more trusted experience — for you and for the entire SwiftTransfer community.
